My story

COMPETITION - raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support!

I'm doing an Ironman triathlon - 2.4 mile swim; 112 mile bike; 26.2 mile run. In association with local business, I'm offering prizes that money just can't buy for the nearest guess on my finishing times for each discipline and for the overall race. To enter, just make a minimum donation of £5 (per prize that you're trying to win - so if you want to try for the swim prize and the run prize, that's £10), and then when you're prompted to leave a message of encouragement for me after the payment page, input your answer (e.g. "Swim: 1hr 12 mins). Good luck!

THIS YEAR, I'M GOING TO SWIM 2.4 MILES IN THE SEA, BIKE 112 MILES IN THE MOUNTAINS, AND THEN RUN 26.2 MILES - ALL AT THE HEIGHT OF SUMMER, AND ALL WITHIN 16 HOURS OF STARTING. I'M GOING TO BRAG ABOUT THIS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, BUT YOU CAN TAKE PART TOO.

I'm raising money here for Macmillan Cancer Support, and will be completing the Ironman France race this year for this cause.

Macmillan Cancer Support supported my family and helped care for my grandfather when he was dying of stomach cancer eight years ago.

Macmillan
is a national charity that acts locally. So no matter where you are, the money you donate will go towards helping people near to where you live. And that help comes in the whatever form is actually needed in your local area - whether that's financial support for the families of cancer victims, bolstering local NHS services to improve technical knowledge to help people's treatment & recovery, or the angels who are the Macmillan Nurses.

All of this takes serious funding, which is where YOU come in.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer - boosting your donation by almost 20%, with money reclaimed from HM Treasury coffers . So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
