Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you will know, I've been involved in campaigning for Oxford Friends of the Earth for many years. I also enjoy cycling, so when I heard that Friends of the Earth nationally were organising the Big Green Bike Ride from London to Edinburgh, it seemed like a great opportunity to see a good deal of the British countryside while raising some cash to help protect it for future generations. A proportion of what I raise will go to the Oxford local group, so local, national and international campaigns will all benefit.

The ride takes place from 6 to 11 May 2012. I've got a lot of training to do before then, but it will be worth it if, with your help, I can raise at least a couple of grand. It would also be great to see you along the way if you are near the route! You can follow my training progress on Twitter.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Friends of the Earth and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for FoE.

So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you very much.
