Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The past 18 months have been a challenge. Two surgeries and four weeks of radiotherapy have made me appreciate how much I took my healthy body for granted. I'm slowly getting back to my old self and thought why not challenge myself to do a 26.2 mile walk! The treatment I received wouldn't have been possible without past advancements in medical research. Now I have the opportunity to help support a cause which will help advance medical research and treatment for the future.
The Sheffield Scanner campaign aims to raise vital funds needed to bring the first MRI-PET scanner to the region – one of only eight in the UK - which will enhance our understanding of serious conditions such as:
Alzheimer’s disease; cancer; epilepsy; heart and lung disease; Motor Neurone Disease (MND); Multiple Sclerosis; Parkinson’s disease and stroke and the way we treat them in the future.
