The reason I am doing this event is the raise the awareness of how cancer cruelly affects peoples lives. I lost my Uncle (Pancreatic) and my Grandad (Maignant Myloma) to this disease.

Imagine how I felt when my Mum was was dignosed with cancer too. Well she's 3 years clear. Infact she's just been to her 3 monthly follow up at St James today. She now going to 6 monthly check ups.

Most recently a really close friend of mine was affected by cancer and she lost every bit of her hair. It really made me think about how I could donate my hair so hence my head shave. Glad to report she is on the road to recovery but it's taking her a long time to get her strength back and be the ace netball player she used to be.

I want to raise a huge amount of money to help find a cure for all types of cancer, especially the types of cancer that don't have cures yet. At least then people could have some hope and a weapon to fight this disease with.

Please help me beat this foul disease by your donation no matter how big or small, every little helps towards the fight.
