Julie, Helen and Kate have been running together now for over 10 years, mainly as a way of maintaining fitness and being allowed to eat as much as possible. After getting a little bored of running just for fitness, we set ourselves the challenge of running a marathon.  We were delighted to get into the Brighton Marathon, so decided to raise funds for a charity and after much deliberation and a glass of wine, we chose Adoption UK.  Kate herself has adopted three boys and has used the services of Adoption UK on many occasions. 

 

Adoption UK have a vision where children who are unable to live with their birth family can find security and happiness with permanent families.  They provide support and advise to adoptive families – along with relevant and high level training.  And just as importantly, they campaign for change at the highest policy levels. 

 

Adoption UK also publish “Children who wait” a magazine which helps find children a home.
