On 23rd October I will be running my first (and possibly last!) 10k race. I want to take this opportunity to get fit and with your help raise money for a charity close to my heart, The Retired Greyhound Trust.
We rehomed Marge from Greyhound Lifeline, a local branch of the Trust, so we know first-hand what fabulous work they do and how greyhounds make wonderful pets.
By sponsoring me to complete this 10k not only will you be giving me the motivation to get round the course (especially when I have to twice run up the steep hill by The Oatsheaf Pub and not go in for a drink....argh!), but you will also be helping the Trust make a real difference to the lives of retired racing greyhounds.
The Trust places retired racers into loving homes and raises people’s awareness about the true nature of these wonderful dogs. It's healthy dog policy includes neutering to stop indiscriminate breeding, a dental check, vaccination, worming and de-fleaing. But this is very costly and any help, no matter how small, will be very welcome.
