My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my donation page.

I am going to complete the 3 peaks challenge on the weekend of 10th March 2012. Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours! 120 students of Nottingham Veterinary Society are completing this challenge in aid of the Veterinary Benevolent Fund.

Training is finding its way into our already busy weeks- currently involving fitness & walking around the fields of Sutton Bonington. Later this month we are going on 2 training weekends into the Peak District. But nothing is going to quite prepare us for the expected metre of snow on Ben Nevis!! It is challenging to fit much around work at the moment but determination I am sure will get us through!

We are also trying our best fundraising. Sponsorship is kindly being donated through friends & family as well as companies & organisations. We are also planning some fundraisers such as bacon butty/cake sales & a bar party. As a result we hope to raise a lot of money for our chosen charity and uphold the pride we have in our vet school.

We have completed the challenge in 23 hours 30 minutes!! Ben Nevis took us 6hrs which including crawling about a km on ice at the summit, Scafell Pike took 3hrs 35min and we finished with a quick sprint down Snowdon in 3hr 30mins.
