<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p>
<p>Clearly, I like cycling, a lot! I firmly believe (rightly or wrongly) that riding a bike would make everyone that little bit happier. I'm lucky, I have three bikes and get to ride them all the time, I'm healthy and enjoy life a lot. Others are not so lucky, and that's where Cycle a Difference comes in.</p>
<p>This year I want to combine doing something I love with making a difference to the lives of others and what better way to start than focussing on where life begins. Many of my close friends are now becoming parents. I might even try it one day. There are the obvious joys but there can be terrible times with distress, sadness and pain when things don't go to plan. My nephew, Fen, had a very short go at life. This was a very difficult time for all of us. This special little boy will always be in our hearts.</p>
<p>We have a good health system, at the moment. We are lucky. I'm trying to raise money here to help set up training and provide better equipment to those who are not so lucky - in this case, the communities supported by the Da Nang Hospital in Vietnam. <p>Obviously, cycling across Vietnam is going to be an amazing experience for me. It will, however, be a huge challenge. The furthest I've cycled in one day is 77 miles (I know, rubbish!) - we're aiming for 85+ for 10 days with epic climbs on most days. Knowing that all of this is for such a good cause will really help. Thank you!</p>
