Diabetes UK is the charity leading the fight against the UK's devastating and fastest growing health crisis, working to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. It’s a fight that involves all of us – sharing knowledge and taking diabetes on together. Join us.

Story

It's been just over a year since my dad died, and this year I wanted to do something meaningful to celebrate his birthday. So, I've decided to do a 5k run for Diabetes UK.

My dad was one in a million and it was ridiculously unfair for a horrid thing like diabetes to cut such a full and interesting life so short.

I'm in no way fit and have never done any kind of running before (I might have jogged once), but hopefully I can raise a tidy sum for this great charity...

If you want to get in touch you can email me on kitkatattack47@hotmail.com

P.S. I've just signed up to do a fitness boot camp to whip me into shape.
