My story
I was ridiculously unfit and a few months ago decided I wanted a challenge, I am now still ridiculously unfit but that challenge is unfortunately nearly upon me. So it appears that in one month's time I will be climbing Mt Kilimanjaro.
I am not just doing it for personal satisfaction, if I am going to go through with this I want to do it for a good reason and The Kilimatinde Trust really is. The Kilimatinde Trust (est 1997) assists the poorest region (Singida) in Tanzania in education, health and development. It helps some incredible people in a wonderful village really try to make a difference in there area through things like a decent school and hospital. After going to the hospital to see it's maternity work on my elective placement I truly can think of no charity more deserving.
I am paying for the trip myself (I dont expect you to pay for my fun) but would appreciate any money you could give to the trust to make this all seem vaguely worth it!
If you are students and can't afford it then no pressure - please just pray Idont collapse due tolackof fitness half way up!

The Kilimatinde Trust
Charity Registration No. 1063397
The Kilimatinde Trust (est 1997) assists the poorest region (Singida) in Tanzania in education, health and development. Thanks to the generosity of Grundfos a solar pump installation will assist the drought stricken village of Londoni in 2010. In 2009 the Sunderland Royal Hospital donated 140 beds and other generous supporters have enabled the hospital to be solar panelled so half the wards can be lit at night. <p> The Trusts 2010 priorities are: install a water purification unit, complete the hospital infusion unit, solar panel the remaining wards, support poor patients through a food fund, support HIV/AIDS orphans through a health insurance scheme and renew many outdated pieces of hospital equipment.
