Hello! In November 2010 I head to the forests of Cameroon for 3 months voluntary work at Ape Action Africa's sanctuary for gorillas and chimpanzees. Check out the short video attached here to see this charity's work in the conservation of endangered primates.
In order to raise as much money as possible to donate to AAA's work, I have concocted a 'challenge' for myself to undertake as a sponsored event whilst I am here in the Canadian Rockies. It's kind of a triathlon over three days involving hiking 44km, cycling 60km and kayaking 20km - see the map for the route and the description below for details.
It is going to be a tough three days, covering alot of (steep) ground, with bears and moose and mosquitos chasing me along the way.....maybe it will snow!
So, please sponsor me if you can; any and all donations are greatly appreciated and will be put to important use in Cameroon by Ape Action Africa.
Thank you
Kate
