Hello!

This August I'm following my dream of going back to Africa and giving my time to a great cause. I'll be spending 6 months volunteering in Dodoma, Tanzania helping Leonard Cheshire Disability fundraise for their projects.

Leonard Cheshire Disability (LCD) is a UK-based global organisation working with independent partner organisations in 55 countries in Africa, Asia, the and . They support 250 independently managed disability organisations that, in turn, support people with disabilities in their efforts to secure education, livelihoods, health care, rehabilitation and a voice in their society. By using a rights-based approach, LCD works to enable people to improve their quality of life by removing cultural, political, economic and physical barriers.

In Tanzania, 3.3 million people with disabilities face exclusion from basic education, lack access to employment and financial services, and live in general poverty and deprivation. LCD Tanzania helps people with disabilities by giving them opportunities to improve their livelihoods. In Dodoma, I'll be helping to raise funds for the Dodoma Microfinance Project and for the Miyuji and Mlali Homes for children with disabilities.

The money you give means that I will be able to help the 45 disabled children living at Miyuji home and 40 disabled children living at Mlali home. These children need better facilities and qualitfied staff to help them achieve their full potential - something that they currently don't have. The money you donate will also give me the chance to help over 500 families take part in the Dodoma Microfinance Project, giving them the tools they need to lift themselves and their communities out of poverty.

Help me help Leonard Cheshire and donate now!

Thank you!
