My story

Hi, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So, I'm running the London Marathon 2012 and I would be really grateful of any donation you can offer.

Aside from becoming a mother, this will the biggest challenge I have ever done.

I think it would be fair to say that I'm not a natural athlete and having had my 2nd daughter only 7 months ago it's going to take some training if i'm going to make it round!!! However there will one driving force making me put on my trainers and venture out on a cold, dark wet evening .. my Mum.

Very sadly around 10 years ago my Mum started to show the very early signs of dementia, at that time she was in her 50's.

Over those 10 years my family and I have had to watch, helpless as slowly this cruel and dreadful disease has stripped her of everything and now in her 60's she is unable to move, talk, listen or understand and worst of all she has no idea who anyone is.

For those of you who knew Mum before she became ill, I think you would all agree what a wonderful, loving and caring person she was. For those who didn't, you'll just have to take my word for it!

So please, please give what you can. There is nothing now that I can do for my poor Mum, but if it means that I can contribute to one day finding a cure for this evil disease then my god it's worth it.

Over 820,000 people are effected by this devastating illness, but there is no direct government funding given.

Very Sadly Mum passed away on the 14th January 2012. So please, please give what you can as this now means more to me than ever,

THANK YOU xxxxxxxxxxxxx
