Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My sister Kath Cronin died from covid-19 on 19 December. Kath, a devoted aunty and sister, was born on 10 February 1954 in Ladbroke Grove to our parents Mary and Dan, who had immigrated from Ireland in search of work.

Times were tough for immigrants in the 1950s, with a lack of safe, affordable housing making life difficult for many families then, and this experience made her a passionate advocate for the need for more social housing in the UK.

Kath was really affected by the Grenfell Tragedy in June 2017. Having been born in that area of London, and habitable and affordable social housing being very scarce back then as it is now, she felt a strong connection with the families and friends who lost loved ones, so I have set this JustGiving page in Kath's memory for The Grenfell Foundation, which provides independent support to the former residents of Grenfell Tower, their families, dependents and the local community.

If you knew Kath and would like to make a donation in her memory, we, as a family would be very grateful.

Thank you
