Every year since 2009 I've gone to India, Sri Lanka and/or Thailand to work with VESL. We work with British volunteers and local teachers. We work in government schools and we teach English. We use lots of songs and games and activities and we all have a lot of fun. The kids learn English. The teachers learn English and sometimes get some good ideas for ways in which they can improve their own teaching. And us VESL volunteers learn an awful lot in the process as well!

I'm hoping you will donate money to VESL that it can use in Thailand, Sri Lanka and India. We use money to buy educational materials for the schools, to support our volunteers, to run training programmes for the teachers (English training, positive behaviour management, etc.) as well as for other projects. Any money that we don't spend in Asia is spent in the UK helping VESL to continue the really good work that it does.
