Thanks for taking the time to read my Just Giving Page!!

First of all can I just say EMILY........ what an inspirational person she is, her positiveness and god damn kindness is completely infectious!!! 

I was lucky enough to be Emily's mentor at school and we grew close as I marvelled how easy she made teaching look!!! The children in her class absolutely loved her and she had  patience like no other!! 

Whilst I was on maternity leave last year Emily contacted me to say she had been diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer, my heart sank. She seemed upbeat and extremely positive it could be treated. Unfortunately soon after she was told it had spread and worst of all it was terminal. My beautiful friends life would be cut short because of this devastating disease. 

Rather than curl up into a ball and hide away she went on the most incredible tandem adventure with her future hubby to raise money and awareness about her particular cancer! 

Myself and a group of teachers from my school will be walking together alongside Emily and Jake on Sunday 19th March to raise money for The Royal Marsden to support all the wonderful work they do.  They have looked after her brilliantly over the last year and years ago also looked after my mum's sister Gill with such kindness at such a difficult time.  Thank you Royal Marsden for everything you do.
