Katharine's R.E.D January

R.E.D January · 1 January 2017 to 31 January 2017 ·
I have always been very open about both my anxiety and depression, having struggled with both for the last 8 years or so.
Over the years I have found that there is still a stigma about mental illness. I want to try and contribute towards the breaking down of this stigma.
I used to exercise regularly and found that this help with my depression, I especially loved running. However over the last few years I haven't been exercising at all and have definitely been feeling the effect. I want to get myself fit and healthy again (both mentally and physically) while raising money for an excellent cause.
Everyday in January I will be running or walking to both raise awareness of mental illness and to raise money for a great charity, which has gone a long way towards helping those who suffer from mental illness.
My personal goal for R.E.D January is to run 10K in less than an hour by the end of January.
I will try each day in January to post updates on my just giving page, my Facebook page or Instagram to let everyone know how I am doing.
