In the summer of 2018, my Mum was diagnosed with Stage 4b Ovarian cancer and spent most of that summer in The Christie. Since then, she has endured a 12 hour chemo treatment every 3 weeks, but thanks to the team at The Christie, her chemo has now been reduced and she can have the treatment here in New Mills, a brilliant service offered by The Christie Outreach team. I am therefore proud to be a member of the Manchester PA Network 10K team, taking part in the Great Manchester Run on Sunday 19th May, as we aim to raise £200k by 2020 for The Christie. This is my way of saying thank you to the wonderful team at The Christie for everything they’ve done and continue to do for my Mum as without everyone’s wonderful donations none of this would have been possible.
