Story
Race Day went well. Despite my injured foot, which looked as if it might threaten my ability to compete last week, I managed to finish 2546th in 1 hour, 55 minutes and 33 seconds. My kids looked a bit downcast when I told them as they expected me to win :) but I was utterly delighted a) to have finished-feet intact and b) to have beaten 3500 odd people to the post.
I really enjoyed the race, despite the driving wind and rain and my race plan of trying to overtake everone dressed as a banana seemed to pay off.
Thanks so much to all of you who donated to Momentum. The page will be open for another month in case anyone would like to make a donation who has not done so already.
Thanks too to my sister and Nick who got me into this in the first place. It was great fun.
