Having realised that life is too short I decided I should stop putting things off that I've always wanted to do (but too scared to try)

So first item on the list.... to do the Great North Run in support of Cancer Research UK and in memory of my beautiful Mum, who bravely battled cancer twice.

Back in 1997 Mum beat Kidney Cancer.  Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer in 2014 and sadly lost her battle in June 2015.

Mum was adamant that she got onto a trial in the hope that it would help other people in the future who face the same situation.  This trial was only possible because of Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.
