Oh my goodness what have I done?! I am very excited and nervous to take on probably the biggest challenge of my life so far - running my first ever marathon! I am running it for Action on Hearing Loss (RNID) and would really appreciate your help in reaching my goal of raising £1,000 for this brilliant charity. 

Action on Hearing Loss (RNID) are a charity who work across the UK so that people with hearing loss are supported and can live the life they choose. Their work includes providing high-quality support and care so people confronting deafness, hearing loss and tinnitus have their needs met. They fund research to find a cure for hearing loss, and encourage the take-up of new technology and medical treatments to help manage the condition, in addition to campaigning for equality, so the people they support can make the same life choices as everyone else.

I have chosen to represent this charity over the many other great causes out there as I myself have struggled with being hard of hearing for the majority of my life and have experienced first hand how debilitating it can be. Talking and listening to people is still the main way we communicate and losing/not having that ability can mean slipping into a world of isolation and loneliness. Action On Hearing Loss is there to prevent this happening.

Please donate as little or as much as you can to support this charity and to also motivate me on those long and lonely runs (especially in the freezing cold winter!) I have only ever run a half marathon before, so this will be a massive feat for me. I really appreciate everyone's support and I hope to see as many of your faces as possible on London Marathon Day!
