Story

I'm doing the TW half on 26 February 2012, my first ever half marathon, for Age UK.

It's a race against the clock as I try to break the 2-hour barrier around what looks like the hilliest 13.1 mile route the race officials could find. Bearing in mind that a little while ago I was about as fit as a Christmas pudding, I hope you'll be flabbergasted enough to donate a bit of cash.

More details about the race can be found here: http://www.twharriers.org.uk/racing/tw_half_marathon - by all means come and spectate from the sidelines. I'll just be a puce-faced ginger blur when I go past (at tremendous speed, needless to say), but would appreciate hearty bellows of encouragement.

I'm aiming for a fairly modest £10 per mile total fundraising to begin with (as I'm new to this whole running-for-charity malarkey). Many of you know I used to work with the elderley, and Age UK is a cause in which I very much believe. The more we can raise together, the better.
