Next week I will be celebrating a significant birthday. Like many others we have had to cancel parties, mini-breaks and family get togethers. But that's okay, because all being well, we can do all those things another time.

As most of you will know I have been involved in fundraising for Helping Herts Homeless (the new name for North Herts Sanctuary) for over 20 years. Unfortunately all the fundraising events over recent and future months have had to be cancelled. Unlike my celebrations these events won't happen later which is lost revenue for the charity and local homeless people.

I was hoping that if you might have sent me a birthday card, or bought me a drink (or even if you have no plans to!) perhaps you would consider making a donation instead please? It would be better for the planet, and my ever expanding waistline and would be really appreciated by the people who need support, now more than ever.
