<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>This summer, I'm travelling to Uganda with a small group of volunteers to take part in a development project through ODA, in partnership with Little Big Africa. We will spend 6 &nbsp;weeks living in a rural community where we will work with the locals to build a water tank for a school, protect a water source and train people to build smokeless stoves. We will also teach about health and sanitation. These projects will bring huge benefits to the community; the water tank will stop girls spending hours of their school day fetching water, the water source will provide clean drinking water and the smokeless stoves help to reduce respiratory disease and to conserve dwindling forests.&nbsp;</p> <p>ODA works closely with local communities and the projects are very much partnerships. We do not displace local labour and we listen to local needs.&nbsp;</p> <p>I'm covering all my own travel expenses.
