We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

I am walking for Vega, who, as you all know is battling childhood Leukaemia. But even more so I am walking for all those children and families who are yet to receive their diagnosis. Today many childhood cancers have much better survival chances than even just 50 years ago. Vega would not have survived this illness 50 years ago but now her chances stand at an amazing 75%. And here I am raising money for vital reasearch so in another 50 years no child will even have to endure what Vega is going through now. I wish with all my heart that Cancer Reasearch's motto of "Let's make cancer history" will be a reality in the future.

Walking a half marathon is no spectacular feat but I hope that Vega's daily struggle and my role in supporting her will make up for the lack of awesomeness in this fundraising attempt. The walk is merely an incentive for me to ask for your money, your donation is for Vega and for many more children that too have to fight this cruel disease.

The target of £311.12 reminds of our diagnosis day on the 31/1/12.The drive for raising money for charity has been immense this year and I am not asking you to dig deep. No donation will be frowned upon, may it be £3.11, £31.01 or £3101.12!

Thank you for your support!
