Story

<div>The Amazing Mr Nuz</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>So we were newly married and in our first home and what would make us complete? A baby, yack no thank you, a fur baby now&nbsp;you are talking!!&nbsp;A trip to&nbsp;the RSPCA in Coventry to see who needed a loving home with a crazy cat loving couple.&nbsp; We wandered&nbsp;through the cattery looking through&nbsp;windows&nbsp;and talking to the divine felines&nbsp;many on reserve or not yet ready to re home,&nbsp;we were loosing hope&nbsp; that we would not find the one&nbsp;but there he was the last cat on the left the big&nbsp;tabby with a&nbsp;chip missing in his&nbsp;ear lying on his food, he rolled over and pawed my finger through the tiny gap in the bottom of the glass and it was love!!</div> <div>I picked him up and he started to mush and nuzzle my neck and did the same to my husband and&nbsp;that was it true love, the one for us and that is how we&nbsp;became the proud parents of&nbsp; The Nuzzlar.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>He really was a very friendly cat especially if food was involved.&nbsp;A visit to&nbsp;Auntie Kath's for a chicken starter washed down with the finest cat milk, home then for some tinned delight and what ever he could get from our plate, to finish&nbsp;round to Anne to polish&nbsp;off what Rosie cat had left. Saturday was&nbsp;fish and chip lunch with&nbsp;Norman and garden BBQs would always have a Nuz as centre of attention! His favourite place was&nbsp;in the kitchen waiting for the fridge to open and the&nbsp;amazing way&nbsp;you could say ham would always win you a tasty treat.&nbsp;&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>It was only 7&nbsp;happy years&nbsp;with you&nbsp;but alas you grew old and with that the complications of an ongoing illness&nbsp;till finally it was time to say goodbye.&nbsp; We miss you sleeping on&nbsp;our heads at night and waking us for breakfast 10 minuets before the alarm went off.</div> <div>We&nbsp;will always love you Mr Nuz and there will forever be a warm spot by the fridge and a distant echo of ham when the door opens. &nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>My Tommy Gun was at the RSPCA at Coventry for a few months before I spotted him, well it took me a minute or two to find him, he wasnt in his pen looking at people, he was in his run, sitting looking out at the nearby feild, longing with every hair in his body that he could be out there!</div> <div>He was described by the RSPCA as being lively and playful , and he is still to this day, 7 years later .</div> <div>He still carries the scars of his previuos life, before the RSPCA, he is a bit of a scardy cat with people, very friendly loves cheese ,getting his toys out of his wicker basket AND then putting thm back in. he loves when Tesco deliver the shopping poking his head in and out of the bags .He is very loyal to me and will always be around when it's stressful. Tommy was called that by the RSPCA and as he was a year or so old, we kept his name just adding gun to beef him up a bit</div> <div>He snores&nbsp; quiet loud for a little cat and has almost compulsive habits as he likes things tidy.He is very vocal and is always talking, mainly to himself, and smacks his lips together when he asleep.</div> <div>Jerry boy, well what can be said, there I was at the RSPCA looking with my eyes not my heart for a mate for Tommy. Last pen , there was a tap on the glass and there he was, I asked for a cuddle and he put his paws on my shoulders and looked me in the eyes and i was hooked.</div> <div>Only when he went back to his pen did I see that he had 3 paws, having lost one in an act of cruelty.</div> <div>He came to join us and Tom wanted to be his friend .</div> <div>We called him Jerry as it was Remembrance day and wanted something relevant .</div> <div>He didnt take to Tommy that well, however Jerry loves people, likes listening to music and eating with his paws.</div> <div>Jerrys favourite food includes ham off the bone and warm chicken</div> <div>He has been a bit accident prone, having lost his nose tissue to cancer and his til after a sting but he faith never wains</div> <div>What I wanted to say to you all is please dont dismiss an older animal when you visit an animal shelter.</div> <div>The 3 fluffies you have just read about werent kittens , which are always a winner to rehome, but were overlooked by visitors.Shame on them as they missed out on 3 beautiful chipped and neutered (by the RSPCA) tabby boys that from day 1 have been a pleasure.</div> <div>Sadly Nuz is at rainbow bridge now but he along with Tom and Jerry have made us smile and cry .</div> <div>Thank you so much for your time and donation , every single penny raised will go towards RSPCA in Coventry where all 3 came from</div>
