Story
As you will all know my family suddenly lost my beautiful sister Anna Louise in November 2007 after a failed liver transplant.
On that dreadful day we were welcomed by Hope House and offered the Snow Flake suite as a place to spend some final time with Anna. The Snow Flake suite was filled with Anna's belongings, photo albums and we listened to her favourite music on her ipod.
Hope House then offered all my family crucial bereavement support, which often turns out to be a life line for families torn apart by grief and fear of life without their loved one. Counselling at Hope House is one of the few times when a bereaved family member can say how they feel without worrying about upsetting the family or saying something wrong.
Hope House also opened a door to now very special friends who have shared my families experiences. My mum especially is thankful for her wonderful friends.
Hope House is such an special charity because it understands that which most of us think will never need to be understood. Life without a sister.
If you are reading this and you have all your family members close, please consider yourself blessed and spare a couple of pounds to allow Hope House to help those who have lost their loved ones understand something that you don't have to.
Thank you x
