I am raising money for Threshold Housing Link in Swindon - www.thl.org.uk where I am a Resettlement Worker.
Threshold estimates there are currently around 100 single homeless and up to 15 people regularly sleeping rough in Swindon. This makes Swindon’s homelessness problem the highest in the South West. Threshold currently provides a number of services to help homeless people in the Swindon area take responsibility to rebuild their lives. We now support 1,000+ people per year, supplying accommodation, advice and support.
Our Resettlement Programme helps people find a home, but we also help them gain life skills, address substance misuse issues and access health treatment as necessary so it is much more likely that they will keep jobs, return to education and become good neighbours.
But we can't do this with magic beans! We are run as a not-for-profit charity and rely on grants and fundraising to continue our work to end homelessness in Swindon. Please help us by sponsoring me.
