Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The reason that I am running the Great North Run is because of little Sam.
I gave birth to Sam at the Rosie Maternity Hospital in Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge. As many of you know, Sam was born with a serious genetic condition and he was initially really, really sick, however, thanks to the expertise within the hospital, Sam's condition was quickly diagnosed and he spent his first 10 days within the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where he was cared for by amazing people who really care about each baby within their unit.
It's because of these people that I feel the need to give something back after the care and support that Sam and my family received.
The Rosie Maternity Hospital is currently undergoing a massive, long overdue, refurbishment and they need to raise £150k to achieve their target. Obviously I'm not looking to raise anywhere near this amount (would be fab though!) BUT anything that you feel that you can give would be wonderful. Just think of all those babies that you can help to receive similar, amazing care like my Sam did. I don't think I can ever properly explain how grateful Ian and I really are to the Rosie teams.
