I achieved a lifetime’s ambition by completing a ten-day high altitude trek along the Inca Trail, to raise money for The Meningitis Trust. I joined fifteen others on the trek; trekking through the Peruvian Andes and the historic Sacred Valley of the Incas leading to the amazing lost city of Machu Picchu. I found the challenge very tough, climbing steep mountains and descending deep valleys and the shortness of breath, due to the effects of the altitude were certainly very challenging. However, I found the experience truly rewarding, my grateful thanks to everyone for supporting me and for your donations for such a worthy cause.
