Hi All,

Thanks for taking the time to visit Lauren's walk for Kindred page. Lauren (12) is aiming to take on the challenge of walking over the Forth Road Bridge on Saturday 29th October. This walk of 1.5 miles is a huge challenge for Lauren as Lauren has Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. Lauren has recently had major orthopaedic surgery to help improve her gait, balance and posture.

The last two months have been very traumatic and Lauren has endured a lot of discomfort and countless setbacks. during her post post-operative period. Despite this Lauren has shown great courage and determination to achieve and accomplish even the simplest of tasks. Every step has been a huge challenge, given that Lauren is only able to take the shortest of steps using only one leg with either her walking frame or crutches for support.

Lauren aims to walk the length of the bridge using her walking frame in a bid to raise money for Kindred. Kindred has given Lauren's family invaluable support during Lauren's post operative period. Lauren would love to be able to thank Kindred for supporting her and her family to get from one side of her journey to another, hence the Forth Road Bridge walk.

Please dig deep to help Lauren achieve her goal, any donation large or small will go a long way to supporting the work of Kindred.
