Grace House Hospice is a charity based in the North East who have just began building work for a hospice on their site in Southwick, Sunderland. Grace House was started after the founder, Kathy Secker, saw that the North-East has the least amount of hospice beds in the country. The charity aim to build a hospice where very sick/terminally ill children and their families can go, and where there will be help at hand 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Hospices receive no long term government funding which means that they mostly rely on voluntary contributions which means that it is hard to keep one going, let alone starting one from scratch, so all contributions are greatly appreciated.
I will be doing a sponsored bungee jump from the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough to raise as much money as possible for them!! Unfortunately my jump on the 22nd of May was cancelled due to high winds so i will be rebooking after my holiday and will keep you all updated for when it is! Feel free to come along and watch.
So please dig deep everyone, every little helps!!
