I have joined a team to take part in the 12in12 Challenge: to face 12 physical challenges in the 12 months of 2012, to raise a huge amount of money for HOPEHIV...</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Having spent the Summer of 2011 travelling through sub-Saharan Africa, I witnessed first-hand the devastating effect of HIV/Aids. Whilst exploring Africa, I took on the world&rsquo;s tallest free standing mountain, Kilimanjaro; helping to lead a group of 30 to the summit at 6,000 meters and raise money to help schools in Tanzania!</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">As soon as I heard about 12in12, I immediately jumped on the bandwagon; determined that 2012 of all years, has to be the year to use my love of all things ridiculous to make some money to help the lives of those I met on my travels.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Having completed two &ldquo;tough guys&rdquo;, sailed the North Sea and set the world record for the longest basketball match&nbsp;&nbsp;(at 48hrs), I am looking to push myself further than I thought possible...</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">To check out what I have let myself in for - follow this link:</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><a href="http://the12in12.com/#/katie/4557680431">http://the12in12.com/#/katie/4557680431</a></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
