I have officially gone mad!! I have joined a team to take part in the 12in12 Challenge: to face 12 physical challenges in the 12 months of 2012, to raise a huge amount of money for HOPEHIV...

Having spent the Summer of 2011 travelling through sub-Saharan Africa, I witnessed first-hand the devastating effect of HIV/Aids. Whilst exploring Africa, I took on the world’s tallest free standing mountain, Kilimanjaro; helping to lead a group of 30 to the summit at 6,000 meters and raise money to help schools in Tanzania!

As soon as I heard about 12in12, I immediately jumped on the bandwagon; determined that 2012 of all years, has to be the year to use my love of all things ridiculous to make some money to help the lives of those I met on my travels.

Having completed two “tough guys”, sailed the North Sea and set the world record for the longest basketball match  (at 48hrs), I am looking to push myself further than I thought possible...
