Story
Hello. My name is Katie Higgins. 4 years ago my dad came home and told me that our cousin Alex Flynn had Parkisons disease, He then told is the disease was currently incurable but that Alex was determined to find a cure and to get the most out of life.
Every year Parkinson's afflicts over 6 million people of all ages around the world. This is a disease that robs the sufferer of the ability to move, imprisoning them in their own body, effectively preventing them from enjoying the things that most take for granted.
I saw how determined Alex was to find a cure from the day he was diagnosed. His wish is to run, walk and crawl the equivalent distance of 10 milliom metres that's over 6000 miles by 2014, and raise £1million . I admire him for his determination. He is truley an inspiration and is in my eyes a hero.
When I realised that I could help by raising funds, I decided to sky-dive for the 10 million Meters cause, created by my cousin Alex Flynn( http://www.alexflynn.co.uk ).
Any contribution (big or small) can make this cure happen. Please give in confidence that all of your donation will go to The Cure Parkinson's Trust. Please go to his website and find out more about this well desrving charity and discover more about Parkinson's disease.
