Lovely friends and family.

I wanted to do something to mark Matilda's 16th birthday this year - as it feels like quite a milestone for me.

As ever, I try to do stuff in my life, that attempts to make some sense of her short one. And supporting and volunteering for Sands is one of the ways which I try to do that. If some small amount of good comes from her life, from research into stillbirth and neo-natal death or training for healthcare professionals, right the way through to making tea and coffee for newly bereaved parents at our support meetings -  then I like to believe that it continues to give her life some value and meaning.

So, I'm trying to complete the Great Bristol 10km on 19th September.
