Recent events involving one of my closest family members have inspired me to do something I have never done before....this charity walk... it is only now we need this excellent service that I realise it is a charity to treat cancer patients but also that it needs support from us to continue research & improve facilities for the patients.

Rosemere Cancer Foundation is the local cancer charity for Lancashire and South Cumbria raising funds for extra equipment and facilities. It supports the NHS to deliver treatment to patients wherever they are treated – at the specialist Rosemere Cancer Centre in Preston and at the Cancer Units across the region. Rosemere also funds vital research, and patient welfare projects helping to provide the very best care possible for patients, today and in the future.

Wherever you live in Lancashire and the South Lakes you can be sure that by supporting Rosemere you will be helping to make a real difference to cancer patients when they most need it.

The Walk takes part on Sunday 19th May organised by The Rotary Club of Church & Oswaldtwistle they have been organising this annual walk for the last 7 years.They aim to help members of the community to raise money for charities or worthwhile causes by getting friends to sponsor them. It is estimated that over £500,000 has been raised by walkers for their nominated cause.  And that is the key.  Everyone walks for a charity of their choice as to which mine is Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
