Story
I am doing this .....
http://www.racethetrain.com/event-description.html
to raise some money for CLIC Sargent to help the Petrie family say 'thank you' for all their support. Albert's story is here: http://www.justgiving.com/supportalbert
How do I know Albert? Albert's Dad and I share a very lovely Auntie and Uncle (and have competed in more family Boxing Day 'who can eat the most puddings' competitions than I can remember!).
Those of you who know me know I really like running ..... so I guess you're probably asking what's different about this race and why is running 14 miles a challenge for me? Then you'll remember that normally you'll find me running round the streets of south Manchester or on the track at Longford Park and not through fields and on trails and in mud (unless I have been bullied into doing the local cross country league) ..... because I'm not a great fan of soggy muddy trainers or getting mud in my toenails!
Doing this race was going to be about having some fun, doing a different type of running and having a weekend catch up with a friend - and now it's about all these things and raising some money for CLIC Sargent to help say thank you too. So, if you can spare a few pounds to help me do this it really will be appreciated.
Thank you for reading this!
