Raising money for, and donating money to, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is not soleley about the great work they do for abandoned and abused animals.

It is a London institution with a wonderful sense of community. It encourages visitors not only as a way to secure potential new homes for the rehabilitated animals, but as means to educate families while also providing enjoyment for people of all ages. It is important to maintain and grow a charity such as this, as it is interactive. You can see the work they do; you can see what your donations have contributed to; and you get a real sense of fulfillment from it, even when just visiting for a day out.

I'm raising money for them not only because I just ADORE animals, but because of what they give back to the community - animals and people! 

Any donations are most appreciated - I was about to say something cheesy about my cat Pancake but sure, you get the point.
