Story
We are taking part in the British 10k London Run 2012 to raise funds for Brittle Bones Society as it is a charity close to home. Two out of our three kids - Louie & Millie - have Brittle Bones (Osteogenesis Imperfecta - Type 1). Between them they've broken eight bones. There are lots of children out there who are constantly breaking bones and have had to go through painful operations. Many are on medication to make their bones stronger and are wheelchair bound. There are different types of OI from type 1-8 and each child or adult with OI is individual. Although my chidren have type 1 they are both suffering differently with OI. Louie is sensitive and we know when he breaks as he screams really loudly. Millie is different. She's broken bones in the past like her metartarsal, which is a bone in the foot, and we never knew this until it was discovered in an xray. We would really appreciate your support in helping us raise money for this well deserved charity that is helping families, adults and children with OI to live as normal life as they can.
