Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Story

I have been privileged to work as an audiologist with the University of Southampton's Auditory Implant Service (AIS) for approximately 3 years.  The AIS does a wonderful job in supporting severely-to-profoundly deaf people with cochlear implants.  Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a national charity that supports this population in another way, by providing hearing dogs who can alert their owners to environmental sounds, keep them safe, and give them loving companionship.  Please help me to support this worthwhile cause by sponsoring my descent down the Spinnaker Tower - your generous donation has the power to change lives.
