Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I completed Tough Mudder Scotland 2012, descirbed as 'Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet' for Cancer Reasearch. It was a 12 mile course laced with 22 military style obstacles such as the 'Fire Walker', the 9 foot Berlin Walls, 10,000V electric wires to run through... amongst many (seriously tough) others! I was incredibly muddy, bruised, electric shocked and soaking when I reach the finish line but I did it, and it was so so worth it! I was lucky enough to come in the top 5% which means I qualified for World's Toughest Mudder in November in New Jersey! This Mudder see's a true test of physical and mental fitness as I have 24 hours (yes, through the night!) to get round the course as many times as I possibly can. 90% of last year's participants didn't see the finish, many suffering from hypothermia and/or broken limbs! The female winner didn't escape the cold either, suffering frost bite in two of her toes. It will definitely be the toughest thing I have ever dreamt of facing - a reason I couldn't turn the opportunity down, but also - a chance to raise MORE money!

1 in 3 of us will get cancer, a very scary thought with many of us experiencing loss from this terrible disease. Jimmy Duguid was a great man in so many ways - loving husband to my dear mum, fun loving family man, great friend to many and hard working JCB fanatic. He brought laughter to so many peoples lives including mine and was taken far too soon at the young age of 46, leaving only wonderful memories behind.

Any money you donate will be a step towards effective prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer so that those like Jimmy and millions of others in the future can survive. Let's beat cancer.

Tough Mudder Scotland was awesome, but World's is a whole different ball game. It's going to get messy, it's going to hurt (a lot), it'll be cold but it's going to be AWESOME, and I am excited!
