On Sunday, 13^th March, I am running the Bath Half Marathon with Emeline Speke, running as part of Team Jackie, raising money for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. We would be extremely grateful to anyone that would be kind enough to sponsor us and donate to this most amazing charity.   Our team has a £10,000 target that we are hoping to achieve.

Pancreatic Cancer has devastating statistics.  Almost 9,000 people are diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer each year making it the 11^th most common
cancer.  However, despite this it has the worst cancer survival rate with
just 3% of those diagnosed surviving for 5 years and only 1% surviving for 10
years.  This is compared with 54% (5 years) and 50% (10 years) of all
cancer patients. The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is an amazing charity that funds innovative research to try and find ways to improve the diagnosis methods and treatments to increase survival rates.

Team Jackie is a team of 50 runners all raising money for this fantastic charity.  We have already raised over £4,000 so we are nearly halfway to our £10,000 target!   We would be eternally grateful for any sponsorship, anything at all that you can give go towards helping improve the lives of those that suffer from this disease.
