PLEASE HELP ME TO RAISE MONEY ON BEHALF OF STUART LANGLEY AND THE QUEEN ALEXANDRA HOSPITAL HOME, WORTHING.
I am one of a team of four LADIES who will cycle in relay over 500 miles in 3 days from Blarney Castle, in South West Ireland, to Dublin, starting 30th Sept, finishing Saturday 2nd October 2010.
The purpose of the event is to raise money for charity. Half of what we raise goes to Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation and the other half to our own chosen charity. EVERYTHING WE RAISE GOES TO CHARITY. Myself and one other member of the team will be donating half of what we raise to The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home.
As many of you are aware, our good friend Stuart Langley was knocked off his bicycle in March 2009 and suffered severe brain injuries, aged just 37.
Against all odds and expectations he survived and continues to fight hard throughout what has been an incredibly difficult time for him, his family and close friends.
Stuart's battle is by no means over. He recently moved to The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home, in Sussex, where he will stay for the foreseeable future in order to receive the best medical care and rehabilitation. Without the hospital home it would be impossible for Stuarts family to give him the attention that he needs.
I feel our challenge is appropriate for Stuart, he was a keen cyclist and a very generous person- our monies raised would help to give something back to him. Also quite appropriately for me, The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home cares largely for those that have served in the armed forces.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS MAIL AND THANK YOU FOR ANY DONATION YOU CAN GIVE,
KATY.
