Royal Parks Half Marathon 2019 · 13 October 2019 ·

Place2Be is a children's mental health charity that works to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people. We help them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.

Story

I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 13th October come rain or shine to support Place2Be's work (being White & Case's charity partner this year) - www.place2be.org.uk.

Place2Be is a children's mental health charity working with pupils, families and staff in UK schools. Place2Be's work throughout the UK is really important.

1 in 8 children today have a diagnosable mental health problem. 50% of people with lifetime mental health problems first experience symptoms by the age 14. Rates of depression and anxiety among teenagers have increased by 70% in the past 25 years.

I would be so grateful for any support you're able to give - together we can make a real and positive difference to children's mental health.

And please have your fingers crossed for me at 9am next Sunday (I'm just regaining fitness after 2 months out with a foot injury)!
