<p>In February 2010 my Mum lost her 4 year battle with cervical cancer. &nbsp;Over those four years the cancer spread to her brain, lungs and lymph system, leaving her in hospital for 6 weeks at one point and blind for the last year of her life. &nbsp;All of this was completely avoidable, as her smears were read incorrectly over 15 years.</p> <p>After her death my dad set up a charity, Debbie Fund, to raise money for research into a cure for cervical cancer, as there was no specific research into this beforehand.</p> <p>Mo and I are running the marathon for Debbie Fund along with 2 other runners. &nbsp;We were both pretty chubs and unfit as youngsters, so this will be a massive challenge for both of us.</p> <p>Please sponsor us whatever you can, we will love you forever, and you will be helping UCL take the next step towards finding a cure for cervical cancer.</p> <p>For more information about the cause, please visit www.debbiefund.org</p>
