Lindsey Lodge Hospice offers specialist care for people in the North Lincolnshire area living with life-limiting conditions such as cancer or multiple sclerosis. Patients and their loved ones benefit from the care that we provide free of charge because of generous people like you. Thank you.

Story

How many of us have been affected by cancer? Whether you have had it or known someone who has, cancer affects more and more people every year. I've lost my great-gran and grandma to cancer, both of whom were lucky enough to live a full life. What made the difference in their treatment was that they both recieved care at charity-funded hospices. My grandma, in particular, was dedicated to her hospice and helped as a volunteer and fundraiser when she wasn't being cared for.

In honour of both these fantastic women, I'm asking you to sponsor me. For every £60 I am sponsored, I will cut an inch of my hair. The cut hair will be given to a wig charity and the money to Lindsey Lodge Hospice, where my grandma was cared for.

If we reach the target of £360, then the equivalent of a 15cm/6 inch ruler will be cut. Double that, and it's £720 for 30cm/12 inches. So you have two reasons now to sponsor me:

  1. The more money you sponsor, the more hair will go to making wigs.
  2. The more money you sponsor, the more funds that Lindsey Lodge Hospice will be gain.
Oh, and you'll get to see what I look like with hair shorter than my torso.
