Hi All
I did the run and I survived! It was a great day with good weather. My time was 1 hour and 30 seconds, and I came 414th out of 680 runners. Out of the ladies, I was right in the middle, so I was very pleased with that. I am also delighted with the money that my friends have given to BTBS, so thank you for making it so worthwhile. I am very grateful to you, because I really value the help that BTBS gives to people in publishing. Their training grants mean even freelancers can get trained and keep their skills up to date.
You can still make a donation, right up until Christmas. The page will vanish after 3 months.
Thank you.
Katy.
Hi
I'm entering my very first 10km race on 17 October. I've been training for a year, and I think I might just make it! I am trying to get my speed up, because I don't want to come in last, or among the stragglers - but we'll just have to see how it goes on the day. We'll be running along the river, between Richmond and Kingston, so at least there'll be no hills, and a nice view as well. If you want to come along and cheer me on, please do!
As this is the first, and probably the last time I will ever do this, I would love to mark the occasion by raising a bit of money for the lovely BTBS. They have really helped me in the past, with a grant for doing my MA - I couldn't have done it without them, and I'm really grateful for it, so please give generously to them.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
