Hello everyone!

My name is Kat, I'm a Miss Galaxy UK finalist representing my home town of Stoke-on-Trent.

I am someone who is down to earth, honest, kind, hard working; I love animals and helping others.

Growing up in a small town of Stoke was hard for me because of my oriental background. I was bullied in school and I never really did anything about it. I wish I had done, but then I felt that I couldn't trust anyone. Nor I could I tell my parents, I didn't want them to worry about me as they were working long hours, so I carried on as normal and pretended nothing had happened. 

Thinking about when I was bullied really haunts me and I just simply lose my confidence. I find it hard to talk to people face to face and even now it still makes me feel that I cannot leave the house.

So, I do part-time modelling and enter beauty pageants just to help me build up my self-esteem; to try to stop feeling negative about myself.  
No one should feel like this. It's not a nice feeling and it should not happen to anyone... 

I've set up this page to help raise money for The Christie.

The Christie is a cancer hospital based in Manchester. I am trying to raise as much money as I can to help the world to be free from cancer. I believe everyone deserves a chance in life to be and stay with their loved ones.

Life is all about doing things that we love together with family and friends; being happy with one another and also creating the amazing, unforgettable moments that stay in your hearts, that will never cease to make you smile when you're having a bad day.

We all know life can be cruel but, if we all can work together, help one another and believing in ourselves, there is hope...    

If you all can donate as little as £1 to help me raise money for The Christie, it will mean the world to me. All the money raised will be written in a cheque and I'll be handing it in on the 8th Feb 2015. 

I have already lost family members to cancer so I am doing my part in helping to stop it from happening to others.
