Hello all,
 
We are very excited that our little one is turning a year old this Friday. Its hard to believe its been a year since he made an arrival on a wheel chair :). In his first year, he has started to say a few words (Amma being the first of course :)) and is now learning the joy of exploring on his two feet instead of his knees.
 
It's been a fabulous year and we have a lot to be grateful for, but instead of throwing him a big party that he won't enjoy and getting him presents that his brother will take away, we figured our time and efforts would be much more appreciated sending that money where its more needed.
 
As many of you know I am volunteering for Akshaya Patra, the largest non-government mid-day meal program in the world. We are currently feeding 1.2 Million children in India, 5-6 times a week. Because of this program, children are not only getting fed, but are attending school and getting an education. The results are remarkable http://www.akshayapatra.co.uk/our-achievements. In my view, Akshaya Patra definitely has the potential to make the world a better place.
 
So here's what we are asking of YOU:
 
10 GBP feeds one child for a WHOLE year (Ya!). So on Friday, May 21st please donate whatever you think is a reasonable amount (consider the time and effort saved hiking up to Chiswick :)). On our part Ravi and I will match all donations on May 21st upto 2500 GBP, which will help fund an ENTIRE school for a WHOLE year.
