Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

The Trust supports youth work in Tower Hamlets to provide support, education and opportunity for young people. We support one or more charities working with young people and make a donation to them with specific goals in mind to ensure that some good will come out of Frank's tragic death.

Story

Hello,

I'm running the London marathon this year. This is because I got sick of people asking me of the Paris marathon, "how long is that?"...All marathons are the same! 26.2 miles! anyway, there's a strong chance I could win this year - I've been training pretty hard and I have some new trainers. If I do,  I will donate the money to the Frank Haines Memorial Trust.

But in the unlikely event something happens on the day - I get stuck behind someone in fancy dress, or don't manage a 5min mile average - I probably need to raise some money as back up. Please give generously!

The Trust was established by friends and family of Frank in 2006. In the last four years it has raised £150k through events, sponsored running races and donations. This money supports youth projects in Tower Hamlets, providing much-needed activities and evening centres for children and young people in some very deprived neighbourhoods. It's a very worthwhile cause, and any donations will make a big difference.....http://www.frankhaines.com/

thanks muchly. you're very great.
